WHO WE ARE
CARE stands for Compassionate Advocates for Rights and Equality.
CARE Law Collective is an association of independent Ontario lawyers and administrators who work together to provide representation in matters before the Consent and Capacity Board, including applications funded by Legal Aid Ontario (LAO).
Each CARE lawyer operates their own independent legal practice. For Consent and Capacity Board (CCB) matters, however, we work in association, sharing knowledge, experience, and professional support while each lawyer remains responsible for the clients and matters they personally represent.
Our collective is grounded in a shared commitment to compassionate advocacy, individual rights, dignity, and meaningful access to justice for people navigating Ontario’s mental health and capacity law system.
